What is SkipLog?

SkipLog is a charter hours and revenue management tracking app for charter skippers and charter crew.

 

Log a charter in a few taps and SkipLog records the date, charter type, start and finish times, hours worked, your rate, tips and which vessel you were aboard, then works out exactly what the day earned you.

 

Every session rolls up into monthly and yearly reports, so you can see your hours, your average hourly rate and your revenue trends without rebuilding a spreadsheet at tax time. Captains on Pro can sync bookings straight from Google Calendar, raise branded invoices as PDFs, push them to Xero, and keep every licence and certificate with its expiry date in one place, with a reminder before something lapses.

Who it is for?​

 

SkipLog is for charter captains, skippers, deckhands and relief crew who work across one or several vessels and operators. If your income changes with every booking, or you need a clean record of sea time and qualification currency to support a licence upgrade, SkipLog keeps that record for you.

 

It suits freelance captains and crew juggling multiple operators just as well as crew who simply want to know what they earned this month.

Who builds it​

 

SkipLog is built and maintained by a small, independent team that works directly with captains who use it every week. Each feature starts as a real problem on a real charter day rather than a boardroom idea.

 

The app is subscriber-supported, which keeps the roadmap answerable to captains instead of advertisers: your charter data stays yours, it is never sold, and there is no advertising in the app. Feature ideas, bug reports, and corrections are genuinely welcome.
